Members of the LGBTQ community need to feel welcome in every part of society. Whether it is in a faith community, a school, someone's immediate family, or a place of employment, discrimination can have a lasting impact on a person's mental health. If we are not part of the solution, we are part of the problem.

This Sunday at 4pm Westside Presbyterian Church will host an event where Justin Lee (author of 'Torn') will discuss the intersection of sexuality, gender and religion. I will be the mental health professional on a panel of experts taking any questions. It is a free event, welcome to all.
