Take some deep breaths. Let’s try to settle into the moment, trying to adopt a curiosity about what is, rather than striving for what could be. What do you notice? What do you notice in your body? What thoughts do you notice running through your mind? What feelings are you aware of? Just notice all of this. Don’t try to change it, just notice. Try to adopt a ‘distance’ from your thoughts and feelings. If your mind gets hijacked by a thought or feeling, switch focus to each breath. Go gently with yourself. Life is busy, and most expect more of you than you can give. You are the best person to take care of yourself. As you gently notice your body, your thoughts, and your feelings, try to send loving energy towards each part. Know that you are trying your best, that things make be in flux, but, in time, things will settle. Try to anchor yourself in this moment, and remember, if your mind wanders, gently bring it back to each breath. When you are ready, slowly bring your attention back to the world around you. I hope you can make a habit of returning to this exercise, to settle your heart and mind. Learn more by booking a free call.
