We’re often told to "leave our personal lives at the door" when we arrive at work. But for those living with the aftermath of trauma, that door doesn’t exist. Trauma impacts the workplace in ways that few people understand:
Creating a trauma-informed culture isn't about being "soft." It’s about psychological safety. When employees feel safe, they don't have to spend 80% of their brain power just trying to regulate their nervous systems. Let's stop asking "What's wrong with them?" and start asking "How can we make this environment safer?" While social media is great for awareness, it isn't a replacement for a therapeutic relationship. If you would like to explore this more, you can book online for an initial telephone conversation with me. Then, if you are ready, we can look at booking an initial assessment. I look forward to hearing from you.
