Resilience in the Face of Hostility

It’s okay to acknowledge that the current news cycle feels like a personal attack. For many LGBTQ+ folks, today's legislative climate can feel like "identity whiplash"—a regression that triggers the same survival instincts we used in childhood.
We have to name it: The stress isn't "in your head." It’s in the headlines, the laws, and the systemic exclusion.

When your identity is being debated in public forums, your nervous system naturally shifts into "fight or flight." This isn't a sign of weakness; it’s your body trying to protect you. Healing doesn't mean ignoring the world; it means finding a community that sees you, even when the system refuses to.

If you would like to explore this more, you can book online for an initial telephone conversation with me. Then, if you are ready, we can look at booking an initial assessment.

I look forward to hearing from you.
