When it comes to trauma therapy, make sure you choose a clinician who can use the latest research to guide their interventions. Most trauma therapists accept that you can’t talk (or logic) your way out of a trauma response. Something more is needed. Some clinicians will only offer the version of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy) that was introduced by Francine Shapiro. This is okay but research shows that the most effective approach to trauma is a newer version of EMDR, and this is called EMDR 2.0. Learn more about EMDR 2.0 by booking a free call.
