We love to help people

We are a boutique private practice offering confidential and tailor-made psychotherapy.  We specialize in Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Conflict, and Men's Therapy.  We also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy).  In order to give you an exceptional level of service, we have chosen to remain out of network.
Chris Warren-Dickins LLB MA LPC is an integrative psychotherapist, so Chris will integrate different evidence-based approaches to help you to achieve your goals.  Chris commonly uses the following approaches to help you to achieve peace of mind -
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
  • Mindfulness, and
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR)
No matter the approach, at the core of Chris' work is a person-centered perspective; this means that Chris will work hard to understand you, placing your voice at center-stage.  Chris always makes sure that the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative effort.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) and Stress:
Chris has been trained by the EMDR Institute and Chris regularly uses
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help people to heal from stressful experiences.  Chris is a therapist member of the EMDR International Association and the EMDR Institute.

Men's Therapy:
Chris specializes in working with men. I
n 2010 Chris published qualitative research into male experiences of counseling and suicidal ideation, and Chris has since given radio interviews and published articles on men's health.  Chris has recently written a self-help book for men, and Chris offers training for survival of the male label. Chris has been trained at an advanced level by Survivors UK to work with male survivors of sexual violence, and Chris is a Professional Affiliate of the Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinities (American Psychological Association).

LGBTQ+:
Chris specializes in working affirmatively with members of the LGBTQ+ community.  Chris is non-binary and queer, and Chris has spent years as a psychotherapist helping people to explore issues that directly and indirectly relate to their sexuality, and their gender identity.  This includes empowering people to work through anxiety, depression, anger, familial estrangement, discrimination, and relationship conflict (at home and at work).  Chris is a Professional Affiliate of the Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity (American Psychological Association).
